Laboratory Testing Service
REM-UAE offers laboratory analysis services for a range of environmental samples such as soil, sediment, drinking water, surface and ground water, sewage and effluents, ambient, workplace and stack air quality, to ensure that environmental quality indicators of our clients' projects comply with national and international guidelines and regulations. We conduct analyses according the reference methodologies; namely Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, (APHA/AWWA/WEF), US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety of the United States (NIOSH) and others, whose are internationally-recognized standards for environmental laboratory testing.
Currently, REM-UAE Laboratory are ready for conducting basic water sample analysis at our Yangon-based laboratory for the following parameters in compliance with national standards prescribed by the Myanmar National Environmental Quality (Emission) Guidelines (2015) and also with recognized-internationally standard:
- pH
- Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD)
- Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
- Oil and Grease
- Suspended Solids
- Total Coliform Bacteria
- Fecal Coliform Bacteria
Furthermore, we also offer a wide range of analytical services for more than 180 parameters covering waters, soil, sediment, biota and air quality. We assure extensive analysis services through sub-contract with our parent ISO/IEC 17025 certified Bangkok-based laboratory; United Analyst and Engineering Consultant in Bangkok, Thailand:
- Heavy metals including mercury and trivalent and hexavalent chromium
- Organochlorine and organophosphate pesticides
- Total petroleum hydrocarbon, PCB, cyanide and phenols
- Physical characteristics (Suspended/dissolved solids, turbidity, colour etc.)
- Total nitrogen and nitrogen ions (nitrite, nitrate, ammonia)
- Total phosphorus and phosphate
- Acidity, alkalinity and hardness
- Sulfur ions (sulfate, sulfide)
- Halogens and ions (free chlorine, chloride, fluoride)
- Biological analyses (E. coli, coliforms, phyto-/zoo-plankton, benthos)
